Each hole begins from a marked tee area. Throw toward the metal basket shown for that hole.
Disc golf is easy to start: choose a disc, find a course and throw from the tee toward the basket. Fewest throws wins. Geelong has free-to-play courses and a club community happy to help with your first round.
You do not need a bag full of discs, a membership or previous experience. One beginner-friendly disc is enough to get started.

Your next throw is taken from behind your previous disc. Keep throwing until the disc comes to rest in the basket.
Every throw counts as one stroke. Add your strokes for the round; the lowest total score wins.
Wait until the area ahead is clear before throwing, look after the park and let faster groups play through when practical.

See league information →A putter or midrange is ideal for learning because it is easier to control than a high-speed distance driver. Comfortable shoes, water and sun protection are usually more important than extra equipment.
