The “Anne-Hyzer” Classic 001

Posted by & filed under Events, News.

On Sunday the 9th of December 2007, the Geelong Disc Golf Club held it’s first ever the ‘ANNE-HYZER DRYZDALE CLASSIC’ event at the newly discovered Drysdale Reserve, located 10 minutes drive from Eastern Park.

This new area offers a significantly different experience to most courses in Australia and provides some interesting challenges. Players played 6 baskets on 18 tees including some very tight technical holes and some great opportunities for big arms to let loose as well.

A total of 10 players battled it out playing 36 Holes of Disc Golf throughout the day, on the newly designed layout. Most players were also competing for State and National ADG Bag Tags during the event, so both rounds were filled with pressure to perform. In the end though, Andrew ‘Fergie’ Ferguson came through again, beating Drew Muller by 4 strokes for another local win. Unfortunately Cassie Anderson had to retire her second round due to injury.
