The 10th Annual Victorian Disc Golf Open
The Geelong Disc Golf Club is proud to announce Geelong as the host city of the 2017 Victorian Disc Golf Open. The tournament is celebrating its 10th anniversary and remains the pinnacle event on the Australian Disc Golf Tour. With the countries best disc golfers competing, it promises to be one of the most exciting events in Australian disc golf history.
The tournament takes place from Saturday April 22th through to Monday 24th at the Drysdale Recreation Reserve, on a temporary course set up for the event. The Drysdale course has played host to the Vic Open for a number of years and remains a favourite amongst the disc golf community. From dramatic changes in elevation and tight wooded fairways, to long open holes with water hazards, Drysdale offers challenges for every disc golfer.
Competitors will face 3 rounds of 18 holes on the demanding par 63 course. After which the top four Men’s Pro Open division will playoff in a final 9 holes to determine who will be the 2017 Victorian Disc Golf Champion.
All competitors will be contending for cash and prizes, not to mention the all-important ADG Tour points, as players in all divisions vie for their chance to be crowned Australian Disc Golf Tour Champion in November.
From 12 noon on Monday 24th will see the best viewing and photo opportunities of the event as the final round begins for the top 4 players.
