Local players are running a disc golf tournament on 1-3 March at Poimena Reserve and YOU are invited to COME & PLAY!

The tournament is the ‘Two Heads Open‘, and this the 6th year it has been played at Poimena.

Anyone is welcome to take part, regardless of ability and experience. There is no qualification process, just register, pay the entry fee and you’re good to go.

Friday 1 March is a practice day with a friendly doubles competition in the afternoon.

Saturday and Sunday is the main competition. To complete the tournament, players will play 3 rounds of 18 holes.

For new players – tournaments are the best environment for challenging your game and improving your skills. You’ll make some new friends and have a good time.

The tournament organising committee appreciates that 3 rounds of disc golf can be too much for some players; for this reason there is the option for players to play for one or two rounds only.

Some of Australia’s best players…

This tournament has an excellent reputation within the Australian disc golf community and normally attracts some leading players from around the country. Already confirmed is previous Australian National Tour Winner, Dave Bandy, from Perth WA.

Local players are guaranteed to put up a tough fight for the honours in the top divisions. In recent years, Harvey Yarnall and Richard Sampson have carried the flag in the Mens Open Division. Heidi Richardson has been the leading female for a number of years and the Junior Division (U16) has been dominated by William Richardson.

With so many new players using the course, we are hoping to see some new faces.
